It’s your “Special Day”, and that calls for special attention to all the details, a hallmark of Upper Crust is our service and expertise. Over the course of our 23 years in the catering business, the Upper Crust has assisted literally hundreds of brides, grooms, and their families with planning rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, wedding brunches and breakfasts. Everything from the most elaborate social events to the simplest “at home gatherings” of family and friends.
Below are listed a few suggestions for events surrounding your weddings as well as “the big day.”
- Rehearsal Dinner: Traditionally, the rehearsal dinner is the responsibility of the groom and can be a formal seated dinner with speeches and champagne toasts, or it can be a Mexican Fiesta, with Margaritas and Traditional Tacos served around the pool, so that everyone can relax and get to know each other. These choices, and many more, are available on our Dinner Menu page. Whatever your choice, the Upper Crust can provide everything from formal silver to Margarita salt, to make it special!
- Afternoon Wedding Reception: Afternoon weddings are traditionally somewhat less formal in nature: tea length dresses and hats for ladies, morning suits for the gentlemen. You can think of garden parties and light foods, with champagne and tables of beautifully arranged salads, delicious sandwiches, and rich desserts. Whatever your preference, though, the Upper Crust has a wide variety of menu items available on our Party & Reception Menu page that will set the perfect tone for you and your guests.
- Evening Wedding or “The Big Party”: The Evening Wedding is most often a grand affair, with the bridal party and guests dressed in formal attire. Receptions can run the gamut, from buffets with heavy hors d’oeuvres, pasta and carving stations, and dessert bars to formal five-course seated dinners, with dancing to a Big Band Orchestra following. You may want selections from both our Reception and Dinner menus. The choice is up to you and your budget. But, from the simplest gathering, to the most elaborate themed event, the Upper Crust can assist you with everything you need to create a grand occasion.
- Special Concerns Weddings and Events: We are proud to offer a range of religious, dietary, and food allergy conciderations when preparing for your special occasion. Weddings and other special events for the Observant and Conservative Jewish community are an Upper Crust specialty. The Upper Crust staff has clearance to prepare foods in Adath Jeshurun, as well as the Reformed temples, such as The Temple. Our staff is familiar with the dietary laws and restrictions required for the foods used and prepared for events in the temple’s facilities. Just let your Upper Crust event planner know of your needs during your consultation, thus saving you a good deal of time as you plan your event.
