In addition to providing the best food and beverages available on the market, which are expertly prepared by talented and innovative chefs, the Upper Crust is able to provide a one-stop shopping experience for you with whatever additional needs your special event may require.
Below is a list of additional services we are able to refer:
- Event Planning – Upper Crust event coordinators are able to assist you with your event planning needs, by simply outlining the many services you may require, such as rental facilities and equipment, tents, printed invitations, musicians, valet and limousine services and providing you with a list of where you may find them. Check out our list of popular party and reception locations.
- Party Supply Rental – We can help you to coordinate all of the rental equipment you may need for your event, such as silver service, glassware, linens, tables, chairs, etc. And because of our longstanding relationships, we are able to get you the best prices.
- Flowers and Decorations – The floral and decorative component complete the look, feel, and elegance of your event. Our event coordinators work with event decorators and florists all over the Louisville area and can assist you in any area, depending on your requirements and budget.
- Food and Beverage Services – While we are able to provide all aspects of food and beverage for your event, we maintain a large list of service providers, such as cake decorators, candy makers, wine and spirits providers in case you prefer to handle these on your own.
- Staff Services Resources – Many events are of such a scale that additional persons are needed for a variety of jobs, such as greeters, servers, bartenders, set-up and breakdown personnel, security teams, ticket sellers, etc. With notice, we are able to arrange for additional personnel based on your event requirements.
Some Notes About Pricing
As you have probably noticed, we have a price range for all of our different food offerings. With all the variables to be considered before planning and pricing a party, there is no way hand out or mail a price list with exact prices. Some questions need to be answered to before preparing a quote for you are:
- Size of party: Food for 10 will cost considerably more per person than the same food for 200 – 300.
- Time of day: An afternoon reception between 2:00 & 5:00 p.m. requires less food than a reception starting at 7:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. when all your guests are expecting enough food for dinner.
- Time of year: Fortunately, we live in a country where we can get anything, just about anytime, as long as we’re willing to pay the price. Asparagus and strawberries, for example, are wonderful items to serve certain times of the year however, in November and December they are not recommened because the cost is exorbitant. The same applies for other produce and some meats.
- Rentals : Some facilities have everything we need while others are barely equipped. We work with three of the most reputable rental companies in town and can find the best one for your needs or budget. There is no added charge for this service.
- Dishes & Linens: Linens can range anywhere from $5.00 per table to $30.00 per table depending on the look you want and your budget.
- Service Fee: Servers and bartenders are $18.50 per hour with a five hour minimum. Barteneders are $20.00 per hour. Average time worked on a party are five to seven hours (2 hours set-up, 3-4 hours event, 1 hour clean up). It is between $20.00 and $22.00 per hour for Sundays and holidays. There is no additional gratuity charge added to your bill.
- Liquor: We can supply you with a full bar or serve your private stock. We have a $1,000,000 liquor liability insurance policy. There is a $1.00 per person charge for liability insurance when we serve your liquor.
- Wedding Cakes: There is no additional charge for serving your wedding cake but we are not responsible for returning any equipment left by the bakery.
This may seem a little complicated, but, with a quick phone conversation or a meeting we can generally assess all these variables. We will then write up a proposal that will address all of your needs.
